This was a plain cardboard notebook that I picked up at a local supermarket a few months ago, thinking that it would be something that I could alter. Well, after my Artsy Crafts weekend in October I was inspired to have a go. First I gave the cover a thin coat of gesso and then used a couple of colours of acrylic paints. After these had dreid I used my translucent gold Glimmer Mist - love this, it's really great. Finally a coat of spray varnish. Then I set to with my Ten Seconds Studio metal tools, I have had these since my birthday but hadn't really used them. First I stamped on the metal with my stazon black pad, then I made a cardboard sandwich. After this I used the teflon tool to go round the lines and then I did 'wormies' over the flower to give it some texture. :o)

Here is a picture of a photoframe that I have made recently, it started off as plain chipboard and I gave it a thin coat of gesso, dried it with my heat gun and then painted it with my pearl acrylic dauber. Again I dried it and then I used my new cosmic shimmer mist that arrived a couple of weeks ago. I quite like it, I hope you do too! My first photoframe, next I move onto my papermania ones that I am hoping to make for Christmas pressies. :o)
